During the month of August, Adventureland heads north to our 5000 acre wilderness camp at Haliburton Scout Reserve. Our Goes North programs offer wilderness adventuresand programs with an advanced wilderness camping experience. Campers will experience setting up and sleeping in tents, cooking outdoors, kayaking, fishing and various programs and having to canoe everywhere after they receive canoe paddling training! Program activities include: archery, climbing, trappers cabin, survival, star gazing and more.
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE PROCEEDING:
1. Adventureland Goes North and Kennabic are held at Haliburton Scout Reserve.
2. There is no electricity or running water at the sites however, treated water for cooking and drinking is transported to the sites daily.
3. Camp sites are only accessible by water. Campers will canoe to all activities.
4. Campers sleep in tents.
5. Cooking is done on site by the campers with help from the staff on camp stoves or camp fires.
6. These programs may not be suitable for youth with no prior tent camping experience
7. A registered nurse is on property throughout the week but not at the campsites and normally a camp Physician is within the camp property.
The fee for these programs is $459 plus tax per week.
