Leadership In Training (LIT) Day Programs 

Youth Age: 11-1years 


Woodland Trails traditional Leadership-in-Training (LIT) provides adolescents (11-17 years) vast opportunities for personal and professional development.  

This weekly day-program will be designed with outdoor adventure, personal growth and community-building in mind. We endeavour to excite and challenge our youth with adventure while placing an emphasis on safety. The program runs daily, Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00PM. Before and after care options are available from 7:30AM and until 6:30PM for an additional fee. LIT cohorts will also have access to traditional Adventureland programming options. Cohorts will be limited in number and youth, will also be in cohorts by age and will be required to bring their own lunch.

Week 1: July 12th-16th

Week 2: July 19th-23rd

Week 3: July 26th-30th

Week 4: August 2nd-6th

Week 5: August 9th-13th

Week 6: August 16th-20th

Week 7: August 23rd-27th

Participants will receive feedback from our seasoned LIT Coordinators throughout their experience. Youth can opt to participate in a mock interview and/or choose to plan and facilitate a session for their peers. Staff will provide a written evaluation for all youth to speak in future portfolios or job interviews. There will also be sessions with special guests to offer focused development opportunities for participants. All participants will receive a certificate acknowledging their successful participation in this program.  

 

All LIT participants will be required to abide by the health & safety protocols in place while on property, including but not limited to social distancing, handwashing/sanitizing, and masking requirements. 
 

LIT participants will have their own designated area on the property with assigned programming times and will not be interacting with other guests on-site.  

 

LIProgram $250.00 per week per participant (special early bird rate).

Cancellation Policy

Scouts Canada’s Summer Adventure Camp Cancellation Policy is as follows:

All Bookings

10% non-refundable deposit will be required to secure your booking

All Bookings

The remainder of balance is due 4 weeks in advance of the first day of your reservation

Bookings cancelled with more than 2 weeks’ notice

If a payment has been made in full, it will be refunded with the 10% deposit subtracted from the total reimbursed

Bookings transferred with more than 2 weeks’ notice

10% non-refundable deposit can be transferred to another booking at any Summer Adventure Camp, along with any additional payments you have made

Bookings Cancelled with less than 2 weeks’ notice

No refunds*

If cancellation is related to Covid-19 or Public Health directive guests may be required to attest to facts and/or provide supporting documentation of extenuating circumstances to be eligible for a refund

Scouts Canada will cancel a booking if you are not a current registered employee, volunteer or member

10% deposit will be retained as administration fee, all other payment will be refunded

Scouts Canada cancels booking due to extenuating circumstances

Transfer 100% of payment to another booking or refund 95% of total payments received
