Camp Opemikon and the Opemikon Rover Crew are hosting a Wilderness First Aid certification course open to youth and Scouters on November 1 to 3, 2024 at Camp Opemikon. Cost of the course is 175.00 (plus HST & Fees) including accommodations, meals, and taxes.

This is an 18-hour course that covers the basics of first aid in a wilderness environment.  The course includes Standard First Aid certification as well as meeting the Wilderness Medical Society’s requirements for Wilderness First Aid and there are no pre-requisites. The trainers are Scouts Canada volunteers, the certification is provided by Canadian Wilderness Medical Training. The course meets requirements 6.1 and 7.1 of the Emergency Skills OAS.
