Okanagan Scouter Skills
at Camp Tillicum, Vernon, BC

Friday April 28- Sunday April 30, 2023

We welcome you to join us for a fun-filled weekend of Scouter Development!

This Scouter Skills weekend is geared towards both our new and experienced section scouters and committee members. It will be a full weekend event held Friday April 28th-Sunday April 30th, 2023, in person at Camp Tillicum and will offer up sessions to help scouters and youth leaders facilitate outdoor programing!  

When: 6:30pm Friday, April 28th - 11:00am Sunday, April 30th, 2023
Where: Camp Tillicum - 7323 Dixon Dam Rd, Vernon, BC V1B 3N9, CA


Sessions geared towards new and experienced Scouters

Sessions include:

  • Canadian Path
  • Knots, Lashing, Shelters
  • Knife, Axe, and Fire Safety
  • Maps & Compass
  • Camp Planning
  • Scouting Resources

Who Should Attend?

  • All new and experienced Section Scouters
  • Potential Volunteers and Interested Parents are welcome!
  • Committee Members

Registration Fee: $45/Scouter (plus Doubleknot fees)

  • Meals, snacks and beverages will be provided all day Saturday and Sunday (breakfast before departure).
  • We ask that you pack your own mess and water bottle.
  • Scouters will have the option to sleep in their own tents or in the lodge 

Event organizers will email a packing list a week before the training weekend.

Cancellation Policy
Booking cancelled with 2-3 weeks notice: Full payment will be refunded with the convenience fee subtracted from the total reimbursed. Booking cancelled with 1 week notice: 50% of total payment is refundable with the convenience fee subtracted from the total reimbursed. Booking cancelled with less than 1 week notice: No refunds. The organizers, as a last resort, may cancel booking due to extenuating circumstances: Transfer 100% of payment to another booking/event within the same fiscal year PLEASE NOTE: All cancellations must be done in writing and e-mailed to Becca Stephen: becca.stephen@scouts.ca. All refunds will be processed through the booking system and will take approximately 2-5 business days to be credited to your original method of payment **Phone messages will not be accepted as notice of your cancellation. ** Scouts Canada reserves the right to cancel a booking at any time.
