Scouter Experimental Adventures at Haliburton Scout Reserve 2023
Canada's largest Scout Camp, Haliburton Scout Reserve (HSR),is almost 5000 acres of Canadian Shield, located in The Haliburton Highlands in Central Ontario on Kennabi Lake. For more than 70 years, Scouts have paddled HSR's 13 lakes, hiked and explored all the programming available - canoeing paddle boarding, rappelling, archery and so much more. memories that last a lifetime are made at HSR.
Scouters, have you wanted to organize a weeklong camp with youth but were usure of how's it's done. Come and experience and explore HSR just like a youth participant. Scouters will learn how youth to plan, organize and take their youth safely and confidently to HSR. During your week's stay you will be able to participate in all the programming available for youth at HSR.
Can't stay the week? For a shorter adventure, come explore HSR for a shorter stay (1 day minimum, 3 day maximum). For the shorter stay option, Scouters can also bring their own registered Cub-aged or older children.
The Details
$499 for a week at HSR per person (includes food, camping and program fees).
Sunday August 13th - Saturday August 19th, 2023 - Big Bear Site
$60 per day per person (1 day of program and 1 night of camping included) *3 night/day maximum
What you need to Bring:
Tent, personal gear (sleeping bag, map etc.), mess kit, mug and enthusiasm.

Monday August 14th - Morning to explore HSR Afternoon – Survival Instruction and Trapper’s Cabin
Tuesday August 15th Day Activity – Hike to High Falls Evening – Badge Trading at the Hub
Wednesday August 16th Morning – Rifle & Archery Afternoon - Rappelling
Thursday August 17th Morning – Kayaking Afternoon – Waterfront Regatta
Friday August 18th Morning – Climbing Wall Afternoon – Sailing Evening – Camp wide Campfire
Saturday August 19th Camp Clean up and go home
