Cub Packs will register their whole Pack. Do NOT register individual Cubs.

Cub Packs are invited to come to the front country of picturesque Camp Barnard (3202 Young Lake Rd) just outside of Sooke BC. Packs are encouraged to invite their White Tail Beavers to join them as a linking activity provided their Scouters can maintain ratio for their youth. This is a great time to introduce any Beaver Scouters who might be coming up to the Pack soon to what Cub camp is like.

Camp will be held on May 23rd beginning at 6pm and ending at 11am on Sunday May 25th with an optional 1 hour good turn finishing at noon. Wolf Howl hosts Cub Packs from all over Vancouver Island and sometimes from the mainland too. It does not conflict with any other major regional events.

Cubs will rotate in groups of 15-20 youth through a handful of stations; some will be challenges, some will be skills, others will be games. Larger Packs may be split in half and smaller Packs may be combined with others to accommodate station size.

Meals

Onboard - Full registration fee - Meals will be provided beginning with Mug up on Friday and ending with Breakfast on Sunday.

Offboard - For $20 less per person - Participants will bring their own food, equipment, and camp cook. Please note you will need a dedicated cook because there is no time set aside for meal prep. Sites have cold, potable running water but no other facilities.

Volunteer Hours

Every Pack is asked to provide Offers of Service (OOS). Each role will have a number of Credits.

If your group is attending the Onboard (meals included) option then please have your number of Credits per group meet or exceed the number of youth you have attending. For every 8 credit hours you will receive one free OOS registration.

If you are participating in the Offboard (no meals, or only mug up) option then please sign up for .75 Credits per youth attending. For every 6 credit hours you will receive one free OOS registration.

Please have your volunteers sign up for roles here https://volunteersignup.org/CWR7E
