Welcome to Camp Vanier!

Located on the South side of Ethel Lake in the heart of Alberta's Northern Lakeland area, is Camp Vanier, operated by Scouts Canada, the Northern Lights Council. This beautiful property is an amazing resource to bring youth of all ages and skill types for Four Season season Scouting adventures.

Camp Vanier also features multiple resource buildings and a vast camping area allow for your group to have a fun day outing in a beautiful area, or enjoy a weekend doing some trekking on snowshoes all within the camp. With direct access to Ethel Lake you can spend the day canoeing or ice fishing!

If you are a third party, like-minded organization and are interested in reserving 1st Millet Scout Hall, please note that you will be required to submit a Certificate of Insurance naming Scouts Canada as an additional insured on a Comprehensive General Liability insurance policy in force, valid for the full duration of the rental period, in an amount no lesser than $2,000,000; such certificate is required to show any exclusions contained in the policy.

You will also be required to sign a third party rental contract which will be provided to you upon completion of your reservation.

(Girl Guides of Canada groups are exempt from the above noted requirements)

*Effective March 17,2023, Camp Vanier, will be accepting bookings up to 1 year in advance on a rolling schedule automatically. 

Please note that the cancellation policy terms and conditions remain in effect.

Bookings transferred with more than 4 weeks' notice: 20% non-refundable deposit can be transferred to another booking within the same fiscal year - September 1st to August 31st.
