Welcome to Camp Legewade!
Camp Legewade is located on beautiful Hurds Lake and offers a peaceful, scenic setting for your next camping experience. Set on 49 acres of land to explore, the camp can accommodate up to 50 guests, making it ideal for youth groups, group retreats, family gatherings, or community events.
Guests can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need for meal preparation and is powered by a generator. It features a propane refrigerator along with a commercial-grade stove complete with a grill and double ovens.
The cabins offer a true rustic camping experience, as they do not have electricity. Camp Legewade offers both comfort and functionality in a stunning natural environment, creating the perfect space for relaxation and connection.

3RD PARTY, LIKE-MINDED ORGANIZATION REQUIREMENTS:
If you are a third party, like-minded organization and are interested in reserving Camp Legewade, please note that you will be required to submit a Certificate of Insurance naming Scouts Canada as an additional insured on a Comprehensive General Liability insurance policy in force, valid for the full duration of the rental period, in an amount no lesser than $2,000,000; such certificate is required to show any exclusions contained in the policy.
You will also be required to sign a third party rental contract which will be provided to you upon completion of your reservation.
(Girl Guides of Canada groups are exempt from the above noted requirements)
BOOKING CAMP LEGEWADE:
To create your booking with Camp Legewade, please follow the steps outlined below:
- Scroll down the page slightly to locate the facility calendar
- Select desired accommodations from the Category dropdown menu
- For Overnight (Sun-Thurs) bookings, please select the desired number of nights from the Duration dropdown menu, then select the preferred arrival date from the calendar
- For Weekend Overnight (Fri-Sun) bookings, please select a Friday arrival to generate availability for that weekend
- Upon completing these steps, you will see which assets are available with applicable pricing and capacity numbers
- Select the Reserve button to add preference[s] to your cart
- Select Checkout to complete the reservation process
FIREWOOD:
One bundle of firewood will be provided to groups for their rental
If additional firewood is required for your stay, this option may be added to your booking through the checkout process
